The Toyota Corolla is one of the best selling cars in the world, and no wonder. It offers peppy acceleration , agile handling, excellent fuel economy, and a smooth, comfortable ride. The Corolla produces, by far, the best gas mileage for a car in its class - 40 mpg highway with the stick, 38 with the automatic! The Toyota Matrix, a station-wagon version, is suprisingly sporty, and has its own, different interior. For most people, the Corolla is about as good as it needs to get. We'd choose one over an automatic-transmission Accord.
